6.7 MILLION FACE FOOD SHORTAGE

Food ShortageLilongwe, Malawi … In a recent report about the food situation in Southern Africa, and especially Malawi, the headline read, “Southern Africa’s Dire Food Situation Grows Worse.”

 

According to the U.N.’s El Nino Coordinator for Southern Africa, “…this is where people are really the most stressed in coping with the lack of food and the poor water situation in many parts of Southern Africa.”

 

Malawi is recognized as being at the heart of the food shortage with an estimated 6.7 million people dealing with the food shortage.
