Kamuzu Central Hospital- Lilongwe, Malawi
HealthCare in Malawi is some of the poorest in the world. There is a severe lack of equipment due to the poverty on this nation as well as rampant Malaria, Tuberculosis, and HIV/AIDS.

One cannot imagine laying on a bed and mattress like those that are commonplace in this tiny nation. Most look like they have come from a World War 2 field hospital, and there is probably good reason to think that since most of the beds and mattresses in this medically destitite region of the world are 20, 30 or more years old. A common thread runs through the minds of most of the people of the sub-Sahara: If I get sick and they take me to the hospital I will die. There is good reason to think this. Without supplies and equipment the medical personnel are fighting a valliant, but loosing battle.
