Madalisto VitaMeal Production Plant - Lumbadzi, Malawi
VitaMeals are produced here. Not only do these meals provide food for some of Malawi’s 1 million orphans, but also provides a market for local farmers to generate income. Pretty important since most Malawians survive on less than $1 a day.
This is only possible through an ongoing partnership between the Malawi Project and Nourish the Children.

To record the number 80,000 is not such a staggering number in a world that commonly notes figures in the thousands and millions. But to watch the food move out of this facility every day, and to know that a total of 80,000 kids are eating every morning because of what the Malawian people can do in this plant outside of Lumbadzi, coupled with American support, is a beauty to behold.
I've taken a tour of the Vita Meal plant, and it is a very impressive facility. The Malawi Project brings together people from all around the world to accomplish great things like this.
