Eye Care

In most village areas there are no eye doctors, and there are no places to purchase eyeglasses. Additionally, even if these were available, the village people have little hope of ever having the funds with which to purchase a pair of glasses or to obtain an eye exam. When they begin losing sight there is no option, and large numbers of the people are blind simply because of the lack of early care for eye problems.

Malawi Project teams have carried thousands of pairs of eyeglasses to those in need. Additionally these teams have administered the use of eye drops to ward off eye infections that can lead to blindness.
