New Sewing Machines Offer Opportunties For Learning

    Each new gift coming into Blessings calls for an incentive program that will help the people get on their feet and not wait for the next gift to arrive. This is especially true in Mtendere Children’s Village where high expectations and high opportunities are being placed before the children.
    One recent contribution, two brand new Singer sewing machines, were easily recognized for the value they would bring to the children to learn more about how to provide for themselves and learn a trade.
    The sewing machines were made possible by a contribution from a family at the Eastside Church of Christ in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
    In just minutes after the new machines arrived at Mtendere the children headed over to the multi-purpose building and stood in line for the opportunity to use one of the brand new treadle sewing machines.
