Liwonde Game Park, Malawi. They wind around trees throughout the park and are easy to spot from a distance. They are also found in numerous other parts of the world, including other nations in Africa, Australia, and China. Known as the python vine, the observer will catch the immediate parallel to a giant python snake wrapping itself around a tall tree. It has a wide trunk, wraps its host counter clockwise and bears numerous flowers when it is in season. Python vines are said to live as long as 200 years.
The python vine is another of those sights you will see in Malawi that you will find few other places where you travel.
